I spearheaded the launch of the Windows Dev brand social channels, helping bring the Twitter handle to the 500K+ follower count it has today. I led a small team in developing the brand's social strategy, including the popular #DevHumor series, and was responsible for piloting the channel's first GIFs, driving major audience engagement.

For Microsoft Developer, I produced a short Tasty-style video comparing the process of coding a pizza bot to the simplicity of creating a pizza. The content resonated with a wide range of its developers because it illustrated the potential of a bot builder in a fun and colorful way.
The video was so popular it even inspired a parody "Pasta Bot," shown here – a high compliment in the world of digital media!

Social Strategy: OpenIDEO
I worked with OpenIDEO to redesign their social strategy to focus on quality over quantity. By developing content that spoke to the heart of the social enterprise community, I was able to increase audience engagement rates and boost the brand’s image.

Partnering with a small team, I helped launch the Lumia US Vine channels. We scripted, shot, and edited all early content, driving engagement while educating viewers about the phone's unique features. I led the development of seasonal scripts and simple storytelling that elevated the brand to communicate more than just device utility.

Social Strategy: TechRewards
For Microsoft's TechRewards developer engagement platform, I shifted the social strategy from being focused on technology to being focused on the community. This resulted in the highest levels of organic engagement out of all of our competitors, blowing their numbers out of the water by up to 2x – even without a dedicated graphics or ad budget.
Video Strategy: #MakeItHappen
I piloted Lumia US's first influencer branded content program for Vine. We chose two influencers, Trisha Hershberger and Jason Coffee, and partnered with them to create content that promoted Lumia US's #MakeItHappen holiday campaign. It was important to draw a balance between being on brand for Microsoft, but also being reflective of the influencer's personal brand and values, and I was able to make that happen by developing the partnership with a focus on collaboration.
